Dubai, Apr 10: Luxury lifestyle brand Faena has announced plans to expand into the Middle East with a series of high-end developments across Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
The expansion will feature multiple destination-driven projects, each designed with a focus on local environment, cultural context, and long-term sustainability. The brand aims to create independent concepts that blend architecture, landscape, and cultural programming.

The initiative is being led by Alan Faena, who said the developments would go beyond traditional hospitality. “We are creating environments where art, nature, and hospitality come together to inspire daily life,” he noted, emphasising a vision rooted in culture and community.
Faena’s entry into the Kingdom will be anchored by two major projects. The first, Faena The Red Sea, is planned as an island retreat focused on wellness, cultural experiences, and environmental integration. It aligns with broader tourism and hospitality growth along the Red Sea coast.
The second development will be located in Diriyah, specifically within the Wadi Safar district. This project will combine residential, hospitality, and cultural elements, including private villas, a hotel, spa facilities, and dedicated venues such as a theatre and forum.
In addition to its Saudi ventures, Faena is evaluating further developments in the UAE, although specific details have not yet been disclosed. These projects are expected to extend the brand’s model of integrating hospitality with cultural programming.
The Middle East expansion is being carried out in partnership with Ennismore, supporting Faena’s broader strategy to enter emerging markets where experiential tourism and cultural integration are gaining prominence.
The move reflects a growing trend in the region’s hospitality sector, where developments increasingly combine luxury living, cultural engagement, and sustainable design.
