Bangkok, Apr 4: India delivered a stellar performance in compound archery at the World Archery Para Series in Bangkok, clinching three team gold medals and a bronze to cap off a successful outing.
In the women’s compound team final, Sheetal Devi and Payal Nag defeated Kazakhstan 150-147 to secure the top podium finish.

The men’s compound team followed suit, with Toman Kumar and Shyam Sunder Swami registering a convincing 153-146 win over Chinese Taipei.
India’s third gold came in the mixed compound event, where Sheetal Devi paired with Toman Kumar to overcome Indonesia 153-146, completing a golden hat-trick for the country.
Adding to the medal tally, Bhawna and Rajshri Rathod clinched a bronze medal in the women’s recurve team event, defeating Japan 6-0.
The Sports Authority of India (SAI) congratulated the team for their outstanding achievement, lauding their determination and focus. The body also gave special mention to athletes supported under the Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS).
“Huge congratulations to our incredible Para Archery team for their phenomenal performance at the World Archery Para Series, Bangkok 2026. Kudos to the entire squad for their grit, focus, and golden spirit,” SAI said in a statement.
The performance further reinforces India’s growing strength in para archery on the global stage.
