Media Release

Bengaluru, Apr 2: Salvation Run 2026 – The great ecumenical community run concluded as a resounding success, bringing together nearly 1800 participants from across diverse Christian denominations in an extraordinary public expression of unity, faith, and witness in Jesus Christ.

Held at the historic St John’s Church Grounds, Frazer Town on March 28, the event stood as one of India’s most visible and powerful demonstrations of Christian oneness. Archbishops, bishops, pastors, and denominational leaders gathered in spiritual solidarity, proclaiming the Gospel and affirming the prayer of Christ “that they may all be one” (John 17:21).

Salvation Run 2026 transcended denominational boundaries, uniting believers from more than 12 Christian traditions under the Body and Blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Participants took part in a 5K Run and a 3K Walk, not as a competition, but as a collective declaration of faith bearing witness to His saving grace and proclaiming His greater glory.

Marking the sacred season of Good Friday and Easter, the run became a living testimony of hope, redemption, and unity. The streets echoed not just with footsteps, but with a shared declaration: “I belong to Jesus.” The event reflected a vibrant expression of fellowship, prayer, and public proclamation of the Gospel through action.

Speaking on the occasion, Elvis Joseph, founder director, described Salvation Run as more than an event: “Salvation Run is a spiritual movement a call to the Church to rise together, testify together, and walk together in obedience and gratitude for the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. Today, we witnessed the Body of Christ come alive in unity, declaring His name to the city and the nation.”

The overwhelming participation and the presence of archbishop, bishops and senior church leadership from various Christian denominations underscored a growing movement toward ecumenical unity in India. The event has set a strong precedent for future gatherings, encouraging believers to continue standing together as one Body in Christ.

Event highlights:

• Nearly 1800 participants from across Christian denominations

• Presence of archbishops, bishops, and church leaders

• 5K Run and 3K Walk as a unified, non-competitive faith expression

• A powerful public proclamation of the Gospel and Christian unity

Salvation Run continues to inspire the Christian community in India and beyond, inviting believers, churches, and leaders to join this growing movement of unity, faith, and public witness. The organizers extend an open invitation to the global and Indian Christian media fraternity to share this powerful testimony—one Body, one faith, one Lord for His greater glory.
