UAE bars entry, transit for Iranian nationals, airlines clarify rules

Daijiworld Media Network - Dubai

Dubai, Apr 1: Iranian nationals are currently not permitted to enter or transit through the United Arab Emirates, according to information published on the website of Emirates.

Under its visa advisory section, the airline states that “nationals of Iran are not allowed to enter and transit,” indicating tightened travel restrictions amid ongoing regional tensions.

However, another UAE-based carrier, Flydubai, clarified that Iranian nationals holding a valid UAE Golden Visa are exempt from the restriction and are allowed to enter and transit the country.

The differing advisories highlight specific exemptions even as broader travel curbs remain in place for Iranian citizens.
