Mangaluru, Mar 30: The campus of Mount Carmel Central School, Mangaluru buzzed with vibrant energy and joyful excitement as 'Summer Camp 2026' was inaugurated on March 27 under the theme 'VIBGYOR, a burst of colours, joy & discovery'. The camp commenced on a lively and spirited note, setting the stage for days filled with creativity, fun and friendship.

The programme began with a soulful prayer song, invoking God’s blessings for a safe, joyful and enriching camp experience.

Camp coordinator, Neetha, extended a heartfelt welcome to the campers, dignitaries, parents, and teachers. A special highlight of the inauguration was the creative unfolding of three rainbow-coloured umbrellas, from which cheerful words of welcome popped out, adding a touch of magic to the occasion.

Administrator, Sr Carissima, delivered an inspiring address, encouraging students to relax, rejuvenate, and cherish moments of joy and togetherness after a strenuous academic season and examinations.

The emcees Sayuri, Tanishk, Krishan, Joanna, Arjith, Vedika and Sharvi conducted the event with confidence and grace, keeping the audience engaged throughout.

Adding to the excitement, each camper was presented with a thoughtfully curated kit filled with craft materials and essential supplies, further enhancing their enthusiasm for the camp.

The ceremony concluded on a high note, with eager anticipation and excitement evident among the campers, marking the beginning of a colourful and enriching journey.
