UAE: Five Indians injured after missile Debris falls near KEZAD

Abu Dhabi, Mar 28: Five Indian nationals were injured on Saturday after debris fell following the interception of a ballistic missile near Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD), authorities said.

According to the Abu Dhabi Media Office, the incident occurred after air defence systems successfully intercepted an incoming missile, resulting in debris falling in the surrounding area.

Officials confirmed that the five injured individuals sustained minor to moderate injuries.

“As part of the ongoing follow-up to the previously reported incident… authorities confirm that five individuals of Indian nationality sustained injuries ranging from moderate to minor,” the statement said.

Further details regarding the condition of the injured or the origin of the missile were not immediately disclosed. Authorities are continuing to monitor the situation.
