New Delhi, Mar 18: Mehidy Hasan Miraz, captain of Bangladesh national cricket team, has made notable progress in the latest ODI rankings following a series of strong performances against the Pakistan national cricket team in a recently concluded three-match series at home.
The Bangladeshi all-rounder climbed nine places to reach joint seventh in the ODI bowlers’ rankings. He also improved his position among all-rounders, moving up two places to claim second spot in the ODI all-rounders’ list.
Mehidy was one of Bangladesh’s standout players during the series, claiming five wickets across the three matches.

Bangladesh’s batting lineup also saw improvements in the rankings. Opener Tanzid Hasan, who scored his maiden international century during the series, jumped 31 places to 55th in the ODI batting rankings. Meanwhile, Litton Das moved up 10 spots to 82nd.
Among Bangladesh bowlers, Taskin Ahmed advanced 12 places to 28th, while Mustafizur Rahman climbed 13 positions to reach 47th in the ODI bowling rankings.
Despite Pakistan losing the series, some of their players also made gains. Batter Salman Ali Agha rose nine places to joint ninth in the ODI batting rankings and also improved three spots to share 10th position in the ODI all-rounders’ list. Fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi moved up four places to joint 25th among ODI all-rounders after contributing with the ball.
In the T20I rankings, Mitchell Santner, captain of the New Zealand national cricket team, recorded one of the biggest gains following his strong performances against the South Africa national cricket team in the ongoing home series.
Santner, who has taken three wickets and scored 35 runs in the first two matches of the five-game series, climbed 11 places to 13th in the T20I bowlers’ rankings. He also rose two places to joint seventh in the T20I all-rounders’ list, achieving a career-best rating.
Other New Zealand players also improved their positions. Fast bowler Lockie Ferguson surged 18 places to 51st in the T20I bowling rankings, while batter Devon Conway moved up four places to 70th among T20I batters.
Among South African players, all-rounder George Linde climbed 11 spots to 23rd in the T20I all-rounders’ list after scoring 33 runs in the second match of the series. Fast bowler Ottneil Baartman also made a significant jump, rising 23 places to 73rd in the T20I bowling rankings.
Meanwhile, India’s Abhishek Sharma retained the top spot in the T20I batting rankings, while fellow Indian spinner Varun Chakaravarthy continued to hold second place in the T20I bowling chart.
