Tirupati, Mar 6: Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor continued her birthday tradition of visiting the sacred Tirumala Venkateswara Temple and offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara early on Thursday morning.

As part of fulfilling a spiritual vow, Janhvi undertook the pilgrimage on foot from Alipiri Footpath, a revered 11-kilometre route consisting of more than 3,500 steps that devotees climb as an act of faith to reach Tirumala.

The actress reached Tirumala late on Wednesday night after completing the climb and stayed on the hill before attending the early morning VIP break darshan at the temple.

Following the darshan, Vedic scholars offered blessings with traditional chants at the Ranganayakula Mandapam, while temple authorities presented her with sacred teertha prasadam.

A video that has gone viral on social media shows Janhvi climbing the steps dressed in a simple white kurta with earphones. She was accompanied by security personnel during the pilgrimage.
Before beginning the climb, she performed prayers at Alipiri along with yesteryear actress Maheshwari.

An ardent devotee of Lord Venkateswara, Janhvi frequently visits the temple on special occasions, including the birthday of her late mother, actress Sridevi. She has also shared in several interviews that she takes the script of her films to Tirumala before starting new projects, believing that the deity’s blessings bring strength and success.
