Mangaluru, Mar 3: Satish Prabhu, a senior functionary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Dakshina Kannada and a prominent BJP leader, passed away on Tuesday afternoon following a sudden brain haemorrhage. He was rushed to a private hospital in Mangaluru but could not be saved.
At the time of his demise, Satish Prabhu was serving as the spokesperson for the BJP Dakshina Kannada district unit. He also held the position of trustee at the Sri Venkataramana Temple on Car Street, Mangaluru.

Known for his active involvement in social and cultural activities, Prabhu had been a key participant in the Ganeshotsava celebrations organised by the Keshava Smruti Samvardhana Committee at Sanghaniketan.
Earlier in his political career, he had briefly left the BJP to join the Congress before returning to the party.
