Sullia: Miscreants damage roof and plantation at Kotemundugaru school

Sullia, Feb 20: Miscreants targeted the Kotemundugaru primary school in Kalanja village on Tuesday night, causing significant damage to the school building and the surrounding plantation.

The vandals pelted stones at the tiled roof of the school, shattering several tiles. The broken fragments fell inside the classrooms, causing distress to the school administration. In addition to damaging the roof, the miscreants also destroyed banana plants and a coconut sapling within the school premises.

The school authorities have brought the matter to the notice of the block education officer (BEO) and filed a formal complaint at the Bellare police station.

The police have registered a case and are investigating the incident to identify the persons responsible for the act of vandalism.
