Mangaluru, Feb 17: The Scouts and Guides Investiture Ceremony was solemnly held at Mount Carmel Central School on February 13. It was a day of joy and pride, marking an important milestone as new members were formally inducted into the Scout and Guide family. The ceremony symbolized their commitment to service, leadership, and community welfare.
Principal sister Melissa and vice principal sister Teena were ceremoniously escorted by scouts Trevor and Reyansh, along with guides Rhea and Saanvi. They were honoured with the traditional scarf presentation by guide captains Aparna and Ashwitha as part of the formal welcome.

The programme commenced with the Prarthana Geeth, followed by the hoisting of the flag and the singing of the Zanda Geeth. In her address, principal Sr Melissa encouraged the students to align their physical, mental, and emotional well-being with the Scout motto, ‘Be Prepared’. Scout Master Jyotsna then invited the patrol leaders to affirm their willingness to join the movement, after which company leader Chelsia led the Scouts and Guides in taking the solemn promise.
The candidates were presented to the principal for the official investiture, assuring that they would uphold the values of scouting and guiding and grow into responsible and compassionate individuals. The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of the scarf and Pravesh badge to the newly inducted Scouts and Guides, signifying their formal initiation into the organization.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, followed by the dispersal of cheerful Scouts and Guides, who are now ready to evolve their skills and become forward-thinking individuals as part of this global movement.
