Bellevision Bahrain ushers in 16th year with induction of new executive committee

Bahrain, Feb 15: Bellevision Bahrain marked a proud milestone as it stepped into its 16th year of existence with the induction of the new executive committee for 2026 on the evening of February 12. The event, themed around Valentine’s Day with vibrant shades of red, was hosted at The Olive Hotel, Juffair, and was well attended by members and well-wishers.

The evening began on an energetic note as MC Adeline set the tone with her engaging and humorous hosting. The gathering was blessed with an opening prayer recited by Vinod and Praveen family. Raymond Kishore D’Souza then introduced the incoming executive committee members, who made their entrance before formally undergoing the induction ceremony.

Outgoing president Arun Castelino ceremonially inducted the new president Ivan Sequeira, by pinning the badge — symbolizing the transfer of leadership. The remaining committee members were inducted by Ivan Sequeira. Each member marked their role by pinning their photograph and designation on the display board. The joyous occasion continued with a celebratory cake-cutting followed by cake served to all which was prepared by Naveen Mendonca.

In his presidential address, Ivan Sequeira welcomed the gathering and expressed gratitude for the continued support extended to Bellevision Bahrain. The outgoing committee of 2025 was felicitated with mementos in appreciation of their service. The well-wishers present during the occasion were honoured with floral plants. The vote of thanks was delivered by vice president Rony Pinto.

The entertainment segment added vibrancy to the evening with melodious songs by Riva Pinto, Vinod Saldanha and Nezline D’Souza. Young Eliana Alva delighted the audience with a dance performance to a Konkani song. Fun-filled games for children and adults, led by MC Adeline, kept the audience engaged. A special group performance by Fiona, Vinith, Joyce, Wilroy, Velantino, Ashish, Preetham, Warren, Vinod, and Nezline captivated everyone. Birthday and Anniversary celebrants for the month of February were invited on stage for cake cutting. Packed cakes sponsored by Xavier Mathias were distributed to attendees.

The registration desk was managed by Alfreeda and Preeti, photography coverage was provided by Ronald Fernandes, and DJ Alwyn kept the atmosphere lively with music throughout the evening. Guests were treated to a delightful spread of food served by The Olive Hotel, Juffair. The celebration concluded on a high note with traditional Baila dance, bringing everyone to the floor in a spirit of unity and joy.

The induction ceremony successfully combined celebration, fellowship, and tradition — setting a positive tone for the year ahead under the new leadership of Bellevision Bahrain.
