New Delhi, Feb 13: Igor Tudor has agreed to take charge of Tottenham Hotspur on an interim basis until the end of the season, following the dismissal of Thomas Frank earlier this week.
The north London club moved swiftly after a disappointing run of results left Spurs just five points clear of the relegation zone, prompting the board to seek immediate stability in a bid to avoid a late-season collapse.
Tudor, 47, returns to the dugout after leaving Juventus in October 2025. His stint in Turin ended after an eight-match winless stretch that saw the club drop to eighth in Serie A.

The Croatian coach has managed across several major European leagues, including spells at Lazio, Marseille, Galatasaray and Udinese. At Lazio, he replaced Maurizio Sarri in March 2024 with the club languishing in ninth place and guided them to a seventh-place finish and qualification for the UEFA Europa League, winning five of his nine matches in charge. Despite the improvement, he stepped down at the end of the campaign.
His only managerial trophy to date came with hometown side Hajduk Split, whom he led to Croatian Cup success in 2013.
As a player, Tudor enjoyed a successful nine-year spell at Juventus, winning two Serie A titles and finishing runner-up in the 2003 UEFA Champions League final. He also represented Croatia at the 1998 FIFA World Cup, where the national side secured a third-place finish.
Tottenham had considered other short-term candidates, including former Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzic and ex-RB Leipzig manager Marco Rose. While Tudor’s appointment is temporary, a strong run of results could place him in contention for the permanent role. Former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, currently head coach of the United States men’s national team, remains a long-term option, while Roberto De Zerbi is also reportedly under consideration after departing Marseille earlier this week.
