Manchester United’s winning streak ends but unbeaten run continues

London, Feb 11: Manchester United’s four-game winning run under Michael Carrick came to a halt on Tuesday night as they played out a dramatic 1-1 draw at West Ham, though their unbeaten streak remains intact.

United had produced statement victories over Arsenal, Manchester City, and Tottenham, sparking talk of Carrick’s long-term future as interim manager. However, at the London Stadium, the Red Devils struggled to find their rhythm. Tomas Soucek headed in Jarrod Bowen’s cross early in the second half to give West Ham the lead, disrupting United’s free-flowing attack.

The visitors found a late equaliser deep into stoppage time when Benjamin Sesko flicked home Bryan Mbeumo’s cross, rescuing a point. Carrick admitted, “We were definitely not at our best… Great spirit again, and we’ll take the point and move on.”

The draw ends United’s four-match winning streak but keeps them in fourth place, still in control of their Champions League push. Chelsea also stumbled in the race, surrendering a 2-0 lead to Leeds, while Bournemouth edged Everton 2-1.

Meanwhile, Tottenham’s struggles continued under Thomas Frank, falling 2-1 at home to Newcastle and leaving them just five points above the relegation zone.
