Star batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi gave India a brisk start with 30 runs, including five fours and a six, but fell to Mohammad Sayyam. India lost three wickets in quick succession but recovered through Vedant Trivedi’s steady 68, supported by Vihaan Malhotra (21), Abhigyan Kundu, and RS Ambrish. A late flourish from Kanishk Chouhan (35 off 29) and Khilan Patel (21 off 15) added 71 runs in the last 10 overs.
For Pakistan, Abdul Subhan was the standout bowler with 3/33, claiming the wickets of Chouhan and Patel. Chouhan also tightened the screws with the ball, conceding just 30 runs in his 10 overs and taking two wickets to earn Player of the Match honours. Captain Ayush Mhatre took three crucial wickets for 21 runs, while Khilan Patel added 3/35.
Pakistan struggled to chase the target, with Hamza Zahoor (42), Usman Khan (66), and captain Farhan Yousuf (38) trying to anchor the innings. However, the Indian bowlers ensured the visitors never built momentum, keeping India’s unbeaten run intact ahead of the knockouts.
