Bengaluru, Jan 30: Logos Retreat Centre, in collaboration with Karnataka Regional Service of Communion (KRSC), organized a five-day Charismatic priests' retreat focused on healing, deliverance, and exorcism.
The retreat took place from January 25 to 29 and was attended by 90 priests from across India.
The resource team comprised of Fr Jose Vettiyankal VC, director of Logos Retreat Centre; Robert Miranda, bishop of the diocese of Gulbarga and KRSC episcopal advisor, Fr Francis D'Souza, exorcist and spiritual director of Bhakti Bhavan Minor Seminary, Bangaluru, Fr Franklin D'Souza, spiritual director of KRSC, diocese of Shimoga; Br Cherian Ramapuram, KRSC coordinator of Karnataka region.
The topics covered by the resource persons were:
1) Fr Jose Vettiyankal VC:

2) Fr Francis D'Souza:

3) Bishop Robert Miranda:
- Historical origins of Exorcism Ritual
- Exorcism as a sacramental
- The need for adequate accompaniment of the faithful oppressed by the extraordinary influence of the Evil One
4) Fr Franklin D'Souza:
- Ecclesial dimension of exorcisms & personal spiritual journey necessary for liberation

- The task of a psychiatrist within the group of auxiliaries of an exorcist & Mariology and exorcism
5) Br Cherian Ramapuram:

Daily adoration sessions were led by Fr Jose. On the final day, an anointing session was conducted by Fr Jose Vettiyankal VC, accompanied by Bishop Robert Miranda, Fr Francis D'Souza, Fr Franklin D'Souza, and Fr Albet VC.
