Udupi, Jan 25: Police sub-inspector (PSI) Violet Femina of the Malpe Coastal Security Police has been awarded the President’s Distinguished Service Medal for 2025, in recognition of her exemplary service and commitment to law enforcement. The prestigious honour will be formally conferred on the occasion of Republic Day.

PSI Violet Femina is presently serving with the Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted by the Karnataka State Government to investigate the Dharmasthala case, one of the state’s most closely watched probes. Her role in the SIT reflects her experience and expertise in handling complex and sensitive investigations.

During her career, PSI Violet Femina has served in several key postings across Karnataka, demonstrating both versatility and professional competence. She has previously worked as police sub-inspector in Udupi, Manipal, Kundapur, Karkala and Honnavar, contributing significantly to the maintenance of law and order in these regions.

She has also been associated with other major investigations. PSI Violet Femina was a member of the SIT probing the Prajwal Revanna case, a high-profile investigation that attracted widespread attention across the state.
