Panaji, Jan 13: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Goa on Tuesday launched a drive to strengthen its grassroots organisation, assigning responsibilities to taluka, ward and booth-level leaders as part of preparations for the 2027 Assembly elections.

The decision was taken at a meeting of state office bearers held in Panaji, chaired by AAP Goa president Valmiki Naik and party’s Goa in-charge Atishi Marlena. The leaders outlined plans to build a disciplined organisational structure and deepen engagement with local communities across the state.

“Our strength lies in our organisation and our connection with the people,” Naik said, stressing that the party would focus on building a strong booth-level network in every taluka to remain rooted in ground realities and public issues.

AAP Goa working president Gerson Gomes said the meeting was focused on action rather than discussion, with leaders tasked to highlight local concerns such as healthcare, road conditions, environmental issues, unemployment and governance failures in their respective areas.

Organisation secretary Prashant Naik said clear responsibilities had been assigned to ensure time-bound and disciplined organisation-building. “A strong internal structure is the backbone of any serious political movement,” he added.

Senior vice president Sandesh Teleikar Dessai said the party’s roadmap for 2027 would be shaped by public opinion. He noted that leaders would engage with communities to understand people’s aspirations and views on future alliances. “Politics and alliances must serve Goa, not individual interests,” he said.
