Bantwal, Jan 10: A private bus travelling from Mangaluru to Puttur moved erratically and collided with a two-wheeler near the B C Road bus stand on Friday evening due to a technical failure.

As the bus reached B C Road, the driver reportedly lost control following the malfunction, causing the vehicle to swerve uncontrollably before hitting a two-wheeler and coming to a halt. The incident could have led to a major mishap, but a bigger danger was averted as the bus stopped immediately after the collision.

The two-wheeler rider managed to jump off and escape unhurt at the time of the impact. The incident led to traffic disruption for some time in the area.

Day by day these bus mishaps are increasing.High speed must be the reason. Not to tolerate. How many lives are lost.Drivers licence also should be proved from time to time.and if not satisfactory should be withdrawn.
