New Delhi, Jan 5: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday announced a nationwide public awareness campaign, VB–G RAM G Janjagaran Abhiyan, aimed at educating rural communities about the recently enacted VB–G RAM G Act, 2025. The campaign will be spearheaded under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with directives issued by BJP national general secretary Arun Singh on January 4, 2026.
Targeting farmers, agricultural labourers, and rural households, the campaign seeks to explain the benefits of the VB–G RAM G scheme, which the BJP describes as a landmark rural reform and a transformative alternative to MGNREGA. The scheme aims to boost rural development, strengthen the economy, curb corruption, and expand employment opportunities, including an increase in guaranteed employment from 100 to 125 days, alongside a stronger focus on livelihood generation and infrastructure development.

The Janjagaran Abhiyan is designed to communicate the scheme’s advantages in simple, accessible terms, counter what the party calls misinformation by the Opposition, and reaffirm the Prime Minister’s commitment to rural workers and farmers. The BJP has also positioned the scheme as a key component of its Viksit Bharat 2047 vision for comprehensive rural transformation.
The outreach plan includes:
• Formation of state-level committees (five members) and district-level committees (four members) to oversee activities.
• Press conferences at state headquarters (Jan 5–6) and district-level media briefings (Jan 7–9).
• District conferences with Zila Panchayat members, Block Panchayat representatives, sarpanches, and recent local election candidates.
• Participation by MPs, MLAs, Legislative Council members, and cooperative institution representatives.
• Block- and mandal-level meetings with elected Gram Panchayat representatives and cooperative heads.
• Village-level chaupals to engage directly with farmers and labourers, clarifying scheme provisions and addressing concerns.
• Door-to-door outreach programmes to disseminate accurate information.
• Public mobilisation through Kisan Padayatras, tractor rallies, and bullock cart rallies at the block level.
Overall coordination of the campaign will be led by Arun Singh, along with BJP Kisan Morcha national president Rajkumar Chahar, vice president Rekha Verma, O.P. Dhankar, and national general secretary Dr Shambhu Kumar.
BJP leadership has emphasised active participation at all organisational levels to ensure the VB–G RAM G Act’s objectives are clearly communicated, highlighting the scheme as a cornerstone of India’s long-term rural development strategy.
