Mangaluru: Unidentified man found dead in lodge

Mangaluru, Jan 4: An unidentified man, aged around 40–45 years, who had checked into a lodge in the city, was found dead under suspicious circumstances. A case has been registered at Bunder police station.

According to the complaint, the unidentified man, who gave his name as Mani, had taken a room in the lodge on December 26. On the morning of December 31, when lodge staff attempted to speak to him as he was lying on the bed on the floor of the room, he did not respond. He was immediately shifted to Wenlock Hospital for treatment, where doctors declared that he had died before being brought to the hospital.

The deceased is described as approximately 5.8 feet tall, dark-complexioned, with a black mark on the chest and a red thread tied on his right hand. He was wearing a brown T-shirt and light blue jeans.

Police have requested anyone with information about the identity of the deceased to contact Bunder police station.

    Why didn't the lodging get his adhaar card details for check-in? It's a standard procedure for checking into any hotel/lodge.
