Udupi, Dec 30: A goods tempo went out of control and rammed into a residential house near Hejamady Kannangar Garodi on National Highway 66.
The incident occurred when the goods vehicle was travelling from Padubidri towards Mangaluru.
Owing to a technical malfunction, the driver lost control of the vehicle, which crashed into the house belonging to Manjathota Ismail.
Fortunately, the occupants, who were seated in a corner of the house at the time, escaped unhurt. However, the building suffered partial damage due to the impact.
