New Delhi, Dec 29: Proving that sincere hard work never goes in vain, Monika from Rajasthan achieved the rare feat of becoming an IAS officer at the young age of 22 by clearing the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination in her very first attempt.
Hailing from Lisadiya village in the Sikar district of Rajasthan, Monika’s journey to the civil services was marked by determination and academic excellence. She secured an impressive 403rd rank in the UPSC Civil Services Examination at just 22, an achievement that many aspirants take years to attain.

Monika comes from a family with a strong administrative background. Her father, Harphool Singh Yadav, is a senior RAS officer, which inspired her inclination towards civil services from an early age. After becoming an IAS officer, she also appeared for the Rajasthan Civil Services examination and secured the 93rd rank, further underlining her academic capabilities.
Apart from the civil services, Monika has cleared several other challenging examinations, including NET, JRF and CA. During her 78-week training at the Indian Railway Institute of Management in Lucknow, she was awarded for outstanding performance, bringing recognition to her district.
Despite her achievements, Monika remains deeply connected to her roots. She is active on social media and often shares insights related to studies and life experiences. Her mother, Sunita Yadav, is a homemaker, and Monika is the eldest among three siblings.
Monika is married to IAS officer Sushil Yadav. Known for her consistent academic performance since childhood, she has been a topper in school as well, setting an inspiring example for young aspirants across the country.
