Israeli settler runs over Palestinian man during prayer, fresh settler violence reported

Ramallah, Dec 26: An Israeli settler ran over a Palestinian man while he was praying by the roadside near Deir Jarir village, northeast of Ramallah, triggering outrage amid a fresh spate of settler violence in the occupied West Bank.

According to local sources, the victim was engaged in prayer when the settler deliberately rammed his vehicle into him, causing injuries. On the same day, armed Israeli settlers reportedly attacked several homes in Deir Jarir, injuring another Palestinian and firing live ammunition.

The situation escalated further as Israeli forces entered the village during the attacks, residents said. The incidents come amid growing reports of settler assaults across the West Bank, raising concerns over the deteriorating security situation for Palestinian civilians.
