St Agnes School CBSE secures multiple podium finishes at the All-India Open Karate Championship 2025

Mangaluru, Dec 23: St Agnes School CBSE, Bendore, celebrated a proud sporting achievement as its students delivered an outstanding performance at the All-India Open Karate Championship 2025, held on Sunday, December 21, at the Father Muller Indoor Stadium, Kankanady, Mangaluru.

The prestigious championship, organised by the Western Institute of Martial Arts, witnessed enthusiastic participation from young karatekas representing institutions from across the country.

The youngest participant from the school, Katelyn Pais (2C), displayed remarkable composure and skill by securing III place in Kumite and III place in Kata, marking an encouraging beginning to the school’s medal tally.

A strong contingent of junior participants showcased commendable technical skill and fighting spirit. Pranavi P Shetty (4C) won III place in Kumite and III place in Kata, while Jisha G Kottary (4C) secured II place in Kumite. Thakshak (4D) earned III place in Kumite, and Abhinava Krishna M (4B) achieved II place in Kumite and III place in Kata, reflecting consistent training and discipline.

The middle-grade competitors continued the winning momentum with notable performances. Saanvi R (5D) clinched I place in Kumite and III place in Kata. Andrea D’Souza (5B) secured III place in Kumite, while Pradhya Sathish Kottary (5B) emerged victorious with I place in Kumite and III place in Kata.

Charvi P (5B) won III place in Kumite, and Angello G D’Souza (5B) added to the honours with I place in Kumite and III place in Kata. Consistent performances were recorded in the higher middle school category. Riddhi Shetty (7C) secured II place in Kata and II place in Kumite, Rishika Jayaraj Bangera (7D) won I place in Kumite, and Chaitanya (7B) earned II place in Kumite, showcasing perseverance and competitive excellence.

The competitors in the 13–14 years category delivered an exceptional performance, bringing significant laurels to the institution. Payal R Poojary (8D) secured II place in Kata and II place in Kumite, Aditi Suvarna (8B) won II place in Kumite, and Fathima Zoha (8D) achieved I place in Kumite and II place in Kata. Nilani Ullal (9B) secured III place in Kumite, while Ridima Ranjith (9C) clinched I place in Kata and I place in Kumite. Dhanvi V K (9D) earned II place in Kumite, Ahana Adiga (9A) won I place in Kumite and II place in Kata, Saanvi M Kulal (9D) secured II place in Kumite, and Thanvi Kishore (9C) emerged victorious with I place in Kata and I place in Kumite.

The management, principal, staff, and students of St Agnes School CBSE congratulated all the achievers on their commendable success and applauded their discipline, perseverance, and indomitable sporting spirit.
