Jerusalem, Dec 15: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday held talks with Tom Barrack, the United States’ special envoy to Syria and ambassador to Turkey, to discuss the second phase of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, Israeli media reported.

The meeting took place in Jerusalem and focused on developments related to the fragile truce and the proposed next stage of the agreement, which is expected to involve more complex political and security arrangements.

American Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee was also present during the discussions, underscoring Washington’s continued diplomatic engagement in the region.
