Mangaluru: Free coin exhibition to showcase rare collections from ancient to modern India

Mangaluru, Dec 3: The Ancient Times is organising its fifth major exhibition in the city, featuring an extensive collection of coins ranging from ancient Indian issues to coins of the modern Republic of India.

The exhibition includes coins dating back to 2 AD, representing the Raja Raja Chola, Chera, Chola and Pandiya dynasties, the Vinayagar Kingdom, the Mysore Wodeyar period, as well as coins from the East India Company, Dutch India, French India and various princely states. A wide range of silver, gold and copper coins will be on display.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to view British India coins, war medals and rare issues from the reigns of Queen Victoria, Queen Elizabeth II, King George and King Edward. Stamps, medals, antiques, vintage collections, vintage pens and showpieces will also be part of the exhibition.

More than 30 dealers from across the country will participate. A free valuation service will be offered by antiquarian Malayalasamy P, who has over 30 years of experience in the field.

The exhibition will be open to the public with free entry from December 5 to 7, between 10 am and 8 pm at Mangala Hall, Hotel Srinivasa, GHS Road, Mangaluru.

The event is organised by The Ancient Times, Coimbatore.
