Udupi, Dec 1: A private school bus was completely gutted after dry grass caught fire at Pragati Nagar in Alevoor on Sunday.
Dry grass in the Alevoor Pragati Nagar area was set on fire, and the flames quickly spread across the surroundings. A private school bus parked nearby was soon engulfed in the blaze.
Locals who noticed the incident immediately alerted the fire brigade. Firefighters arrived at the spot and extinguished the fire.
Fortunately, no students were inside the bus at the time, as it had been parked after dropping the children home. A major disaster was averted.
