Udupi, Nov 26: Prime minister Narendra Modi’s road show from Sri Narayana Guru Circle, Dr V S Acharya Bus Stand in Udupi–Bannanje, will commence at 11.40 am on Friday, November 28.
The procession will move through the city bus stand route up to Kalsanka Junction, announced district BJP president Kuthyar Naveen Shetty at a press conference held at the Udupi district BJP office on November 25.




After the road show, prime minister Modi will travel from Kalsanka Road to the designated parking area via Car Street and reach Sri Krishna Math at 12 noon to offer prayers and seek the blessings of Lord Krishna.
Following this, prime minister Modi will take part in the mass Laksha Kantha Geeta Parayana (recital of the Bhagavad Gita by one lac voices) and address a public gathering. He will depart from the venue at 1.35 pm, reach Adi Udupi helipad at 1.40 pm, and leave for Mangaluru at 1.45 pm by an MI-17 helicopter. From Mangaluru airport, he will fly to Goa at 2.15 pm.
Grand preparations are underway under the leadership of the Udupi district BJP to welcome prime minister Modi to Udupi. Along the three main points of the road show route, cultural displays representing the coastal region, such as Yakshagana, tiger dance, and performers dressed as Lord Krishna, will be showcased.
Barricades will be installed along one side of the road, and more than 30,000 people are expected to gather along the Bannanje–Kalsanka stretch to greet the prime minister. Citizens wishing to witness the road show have been requested to be present by 10.30 am on November 28.
Union minister Pralhad Joshi, BJP state president B Y Vijayendra, MPs Kota Srinivas Poojary and Capt Brijesh Chowta, MLAs and several state leaders will participate in this event.
Udupi district BJP general secretary Reshma Uday Shetty, state media committee member Srikanth Naik, Rathan Ramesh Poojary, Rathnakar Indrali, district BJP secretary Shivakumar Ambalpady, Udupi district BJP media convenor Srinidhi Hegde and others were present during the press conference.
