Udupi announces major traffic diversions ahead of PM’s November 28 visit

Udupi, Nov 24: Major vehicular restrictions have been imposed in Udupi city on November 28 ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit.

The vehicular restrictions and rerouting will be in place from 9 am to 3 pm on November 28.

The route covering Adi Udupi – Karavali Junction – Bannanje – City Bus Stand – Kalsanka – Sri Krishna Math will be completely closed to vehicle movement. Vehicles coming from Kundapura will need to use Karavali Flyover – Ambalpadi – Brahmagiri – Jodukatte to enter Udupi city.

Vehicles and buses coming from Manipal will be rerouted via Sharadha Kalyana Mantapa – Beedinagudde – Mission Compound to enter Udupi City.

Incoming vehicles from Mangaluru will enter the city through Kinnimulki Swagatha Gopura and proceed via Jodukatte. All vehicles arriving from Malpe will need to reroute through Kuthpady – Ambalpadi to enter Udupi.

Vehicles coming from Ambagilu will be diverted via Gundibail – Doddangudde – MGM College, and again rerouted through Sharadha Kalyana Mantapa – Beedinagudde Road to enter Udupi City.

The order was issued by deputy commissioner Swaroopa T K.
