Bengaluru, Nov 10: In a glittering grand finale filled with emotion, glamour and celebration, Mangaluru’s Vamshi, 20, emerged as the proud winner of Mahanati Season 2, one of Kannada television’s most popular talent hunts.
The young and ambitious performer walked away with the prestigious Mahanati crown, a sparkling trophy and a cash prize of Rs 15 lac.
Visibly overwhelmed by her victory, Vamshi dedicated her achievement to her parents, crediting them for their unwavering support and inspiration throughout her journey.

“It was always my parents’ dream to see me become an actress. This victory is just a baby step towards that dream. My hard work and determination have finally paid off,” she said, describing the win as a “dream come true” and the “beginning of many more milestones ahead.”
Varsha Dhigraje was declared the first runner-up, receiving Rs 10 lac and a trophy, while Shriya Agamya secured the second runner-up position with Rs 7 lac. All three finalists were lauded by the audience and the judges for their outstanding performances throughout the season.
Over recent months, Mahanati Season 2 has kept viewers across Karnataka captivated with its unique format, unpredictable twists and stories of ambition, resilience and transformation.
The show, telecasted on Zee Kannada channel, was dedicated to discovering and launching fresh female talent in the Kannada film industry.
Mahanati provided contestants with a platform to showcase their acting prowess, emotional depth and screen presence. From heated contests to moving eliminations, every episode offered a perfect mix of drama, entertainment and inspiration, making it one of the most engaging reality shows of the year.
The finale featured five top finalists performing before an enthusiastic live audience and an esteemed judging panel comprising Ramesh Aravind, Prema, Tarun Sudhir and Nishvika Naidu.
Ahead of the finale, a special premiere event heightened the excitement as five noted Sandalwood directors presented short films featuring the finalists, giving them an opportunity to perform in cinematic settings and demonstrate their versatility.
Hosted by the ever-charming Anushree, the evening was nothing short of spectacular. With star-studded performances, emotional speeches and moments of jubilation, the finale truly captured the essence of Mahanati—a show that not only entertains but also empowers aspiring women to chase their cinematic dreams and make their mark in the Kannada entertainment industry.
