Mangaluru, Oct 31: The Dakshina Kannada (DK) district administration has announced the list of recipients for this year’s prestigious district Kannada Rajyotsava Awards, recognizing outstanding individuals from various fields for their exceptional contributions to society.
Among the awardees are Joseph Mathias, Remona Evette Pereira, and Sathish Ira, who have made notable contributions in their respective fields.

Ami Ani Amchim, Mangaluru
The recipients of the Dakshina Kannada district Kannada Rajyotsava Awards this year include Sr Luciana Pinto, head of Mercy De Home for Orphans, Paneer, Deralakatte, who has been honoured for her contribution to social service; Sathish Ira for his achievements in the field of press and media; Sunda Rai Mandara for his contribution to Tulu theatre and cinema; and Prem Moras for his service towards the promotion of the Konkani language.
Dr Vivian Mendonca from Kadri has been recognized for his excellence in business, while Joyline Muriel Lobo has been honoured for her achievements in sports. Peter Jerome Rodrigues from Bantwal and Rajani Shetty from Mangaluru have been been awarded for their contribution to social service. Joseph Mathias has been recognized for his contributions to social service and art, and Remona Evette Pereira has been honoured for her excellence in art and culture. Among the awardees, Ami Ani Amchim, Mangaluru has been selected in the institutions/organisations category. Joylene Mural Lobo from Moodbidri has been selected for the award for her outstanding achievements in athletics at the state, national, and international levels.
A total of 80 individuals from various fields will be honoured with the Dakshina Kannada district Kannada Rajyotsava Awards. The awards will be presented on Saturday during the Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations to be held at Nehru Maidan, Mangaluru.
The awards celebrate individuals who have upheld the spirit of Karnataka through their dedication, excellence, and service in diverse domains including social service, art, language, sports, business, and media.
