Bantwal, Oct 30: A man from Thumbe village has been reported missing after he informed his family that he was travelling to Bengaluru and would return soon.

The missing person has been identified as Chennakeshava, also known as Keshava (37), a resident of Bollary in Thumbe village. A complaint in this regard has been lodged by his relative, Deekshith.

Keshava was employed as a salesman at a private firm in Modankap. On October 25, after completing his line sales work for spice products, he alighted from a vehicle at Pumpwell around 2:30 pm and informed the driver that he had other work to attend to before returning to the company.

Later, around 3:30 pm, he called Deekshith’s aunt and said that he was travelling to Bengaluru for work. He also mentioned that his phone would be switched off due to low battery and that he would call back after four days.

However, since then, he has not contacted anyone, nor has he visited any relatives or reported to work.

A missing person case has been registered at the Bantwal Rural police station.
