Hebri: Leopard rescued after getting caught in snare near Mudradi

Hebri, Oct 28: A leopard was rescued near Mudradi in Hebri after it got trapped in a snare set for wild boar in a forested area on Tuesday October 28.

The leopard, which was entangled and struggling to free itself, was first spotted by local residents. As the injured animal was aggressive and in distress, no one dared to approach it.

The forest department was immediately alerted, and officials rushed to the spot, tranquilized the leopard, and successfully rescued it.

Veterinarians Dr Meghana and Dr Yashaswini, along with Akshay Shetty from the Snake Trust, assisted in the operation. The rescued leopard was later released safely back into the wild.
