Udupi RPF recovers passenger’s lost luggage containing gold ornaments

Udupi, Oct 23: Prompt action by the railway protection force (RPF) and station staff at Udupi averted a major loss for a passenger after a trolley bag fell off a moving train on Wednesday.

According to reports, a passenger named Priya, who was travelling in Train No. 16595 in coach ME2, berth number 9, accidentally lost her trolley bag while the train was approaching Udupi station. The incident was immediately reported to the RPF personnel on duty.

Acting swiftly, the RPF team, along with track safetyman Dayanand of Udupi, traced and retrieved the fallen luggage from the tracks. The bag contained three gold rings valued at around Rs 40,000.

Priya expressed her gratitude to the RPF and station staff for their timely and efficient assistance. Photos and videos of the recovery were also shared with the report.
