Bengaluru, Oct 22: Three men have been arrested in Bengaluru on charges of gang rape and robbery. The incident occurred on Tuesday night in a residence under the Madanayakanahalli police station limits.
A gang of five men forcibly entered the rented house of a family from West Bengal. They claimed to be informers for the Peenya police station, stating they were conducting a raid on suspicions of selling ganja and prostitution.

The assailants assaulted the victim's son and a female friend who was present. They then took the woman to another room and gang-raped her. The gang also stole Rs 50,000 in cash and the victim's mobile phone before fleeing.
The victim's son managed to call the police during the assault. Bengaluru Rural SP C.K. Baba confirmed that upon learning of the incident, police rushed to the scene and conducted an inspection.
Three accused, identified as Karthik, Glen, and Siyog, have been arrested. The two assaulted men are currently receiving treatment at NIMHANS. Three special police teams have been formed to trace the remaining suspects. The Deputy SP of Nelamangala Division is supervising the investigation.
