Moodbidri: Youth dies after falling into well along with tractor

Moodbidri, Oct 21: A youth died after accidentally falling into a well along with a tractor while washing it at Montradi Kombettu in Nellikaru gram panchayat limits on Tuesday, October 21.

The deceased has been identified as Rajesh (38), a resident of Kombettu.

Rajesh was reportedly washing a tractor belonging to a relative near a well close to his house when the vehicle suddenly began moving towards the well. In an attempt to stop it, Rajesh lost balance and fell into the well along with the tractor, resulting in his death.

He is survived by his wife and two young children.

    Sad he fell into the well and died.Most probably with his absent mind to secure the vehicle before start to wash.Second find it is not good to wash the vehicles near the drinking water sources .near well or elsewhere.One should think when one washes the vehicle ,the dirt and oil or Benzin or petrole rest flees to well and not healthy.One can get sick,or fishes in well too may die.Should be careful.May his soul rest in peace.Heartfelt sympathies to his family.

    Very sad to hear..but general public has to learn from this incident that safety should be given first importance...how a tractor can move while washing? probably he failed to engage the hand brake? even some wooden logs could have been kept below front tyre...RIP
