Stage set at Bahrain Kannada Bhavan for 10th world record attempt by Udupi’s Tanushree Pithrody

Bahrain, Oct 20: Udupi’s young yoga prodigy Tanushree Pithrody is all set to script yet another success story as she prepares for her 10th world record attempt in Bahrain. Tanushree will perform 300 yoga asanas in a single session in an effort to enter the Golden Book of World Records.

The event will be held at Kannada Bhavan, Bahrain, on Friday, October 24, at 10 am, jointly organised by the Kannada Sangha Bahrain and the Bahrain Yoga Community.

Tanushree, who already holds nine world records — including two Guinness World Records and seven Golden Book of World Records titles — is now aiming for her tenth achievement on the global stage.

The programme will be held under the presidency of Ajith Bangera, president of Kannada Sangha Bahrain. Fatima Al Mansoori, president of the Bahrain Yoga Community, will be the chief guest.

The guest of honour line-up includes Jayashankar Vishwanathan, head of Unique Group of Companies; Joseph Joy, president of Indian Club Bahrain; P V Radhakrishna Pillai, president of Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam; and Binu Mannil Varghese, chairman of Indian School Bahrain.

Dr Manish Vaishnoyi, Asia head of the Golden Book of World Records, will serve as the official adjudicator for the event.

Kannada Sangha Bahrain has invited all Kannadigas on the island to witness this rare and inspiring event. President Ajith Bangera has urged the community to attend in large numbers and support Tanushree’s record attempt.
