Israel reopens Rafah crossing for humanitarian aid following hostage returns

Daijiworld Media Network - Gaza

Gaza, Oct 15: Israel has decided to proceed with opening the Rafah crossing between Gaza and Egypt, allowing humanitarian aid to flow into the territory, following the return of the bodies of four hostages, Israeli public broadcaster Kan reported on Wednesday.

The move comes after Israel canceled previously planned measures against Hamas, which included reducing the number of aid trucks entering the enclave by half.

The reopening aims to ensure continued delivery of essential supplies to civilians in Gaza.
