Washington, Oct 10: US President Donald Trump on Friday warned that China was becoming “very hostile” and hinted at a “massive increase” in tariffs on Chinese goods.
Trump accused Beijing of making a “sinister move” with its rare earth export controls and described recent communications from China as “especially inappropriate.”
While a meeting with President Xi Jinping had been planned in two weeks, Trump indicated there now appeared to be “no reason to do so” and suggested the US might take financial measures in response to China’s actions.
