Mumbai, Sep 29: NCP (SP) youth leader and North-West division vice-president Niranjan Lakshman Poojary has been appointed general secretary of the NCP Mumbai region and observer for the Andheri East Assembly constituency.
The appointment was announced during the selection of new office-bearers for the Mumbai region held last Monday under the leadership of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) national president and Rajya Sabha MP Sharad Pawar.
Poojary, who has been active in the party’s youth wing, has also been entrusted with responsibility as observer for the Andheri East Assembly constituency as part of his new organisational role.
NCP Mumbai president and former MLA Milind A Kamble, Uttamrao Mane, Soyal Subhedar, NCP senior vice-president and administrator Chitrapu Lakshman C Poojary, along with other party leaders, were present on the occasion.
