Mangaluru, Sep 19: St Agnes PU College organised annual Intra-Collegiate Fest on September 19 with great zeal and participation, bringing together the vibrant talents of students from all three streams under the banners of Eureka (Science), Comclave (Commerce), and Humaniscope (Arts).

The inaugural ceremony was graced by the presence of Dr Divya Damodar as the chief guest. In her address she emphasised that while winning is important, learning and growing is invaluable. She wished good luck to all the participants and expressed that the fest would ignite curiosity and knowledge in every student.

The inaugural was compered by Thanmay & Aangik, with a warm welcome extended by Sarah Ann, while Elisha Fernandes proposed the vote of thanks.

Students competed in a wide range of creative and intellectual events, showcasing their versatility and flair. From fiery press interactions in The Hot Seat (Mock Press) to digital artistry in Canva Click (Poster Making), from cinematic storytelling in Lens & Lights (Reel Making) to brain-teasing challenges in Mind Maze (Puzzle Solving), every event brought out a different shade of talent.

Catchy one-liners sparkled in Instaline (caption writing), while knowledge and clear presentations stood out in Edu Talk (seminar presentation). Acting talent came alive in Act-O-Shift (character switch challenge), and Artistic expressions shone through Creative Current (Rangoli) and Art Patch (collage making). Curiosity and thinking skills were tested in Brain Storm (quiz), and the day ended with the exciting Rhythmic Tales (thematic dance), where creativity, energy, and teamwork lit up the stage.

Each competition carried unique themes-ranging from scientific innovation and space exploration to entrepreneurship, cultural heritage, and social issues-allowing participants to blend knowledge with creativity.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, healthy competition, and remarkable performances, making it a memorable day of learning, expression, and celebration for the entire student community.

Surprise events were also organised to the audience to add extra excitement to the fest. ‘Brain Tease and Campus Tales’ invited students to scan the code, unlock the fun, and answer questions about the college.

‘The Spotlight Challenge – Influencer Challenge’, with the theme ‘When Google Becomes Your Best Friend,’ encouraged participants to step into the role of an influencer on Instagram and showcase their creativity with style and confidence. Another engaging event, ‘Agnopals’, gave students the chance to capture friendship moments on campus and post them on Instagram to gather maximum likes.

Fest was meticulously planned and executed under the guidance of the convenors - Olivia Patrao, dean for Humanities, Mathew Antony, head of the Department of Commerce, and Venitia Rasquinha, head of the Department of Chemistry.

The fest concluded with a valedictory ceremony, compered by Sana D’Souza. The vote of thanks was delivered by Hiba Shareif. Sr Norine D’Souza, principal, addressed the students and applauded their active participation, competitive spirit, and enthusiasm that made the fest a resounding success.

The spirit of healthy competition reached its peak with the announcement of results:

In Eureka- II PCMB ‘A’ batch won the overall championship and II PCMB ‘B’ batch won the runners up trophy. II CEBA/SEBA ‘A’ emerged as overall champions in Comclave while II SEBA ‘B’ batch as runners. And in Humaniscope II HEPP was garnered as the overall champions.

The Intra-Collegiate Fest 2025 successfully combined creativity, intellect, and performance, making it a memorable day of learning, bonding, and celebration.
