Two policemen suspended after video of objectionable dance at party goes viral

Bhopal, Sep 8: Two policemen posted at Civil Lines police station in Datia have been suspended after a video emerged showing an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) dancing in an objectionable manner with women dancers at a private party.

The clip, which quickly went viral on social media, shows the ASI making obscene gestures while dancing to Bollywood songs during a birthday celebration for a constable from the same station. The party was held on September 2 at a hotel in Datia, where professional dancers had been invited.

Datia Superintendent of Police (SP) Suraj Verma ordered the immediate suspension of both officers following the circulation of the video.

This is the second such incident involving Madhya Pradesh police in recent days. Earlier, in Shivpuri, an ASI posted at Bhauti police station was suspended after a reel showed him dancing with a wanted criminal, Rohit Parihar alias Solid, and a young woman.
