Mangaluru/Udupi, Sep 4: On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, the education departments of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi have announced the district-level best teacher awards for the year 2025-26, recognizing outstanding educators in lower primary, higher primary, and high school sections.

Udupi awardees
The office of the deputy director of the school education department, Udupi district, Rajathadri Manipal, released the list of awardees for this year.

Lower primary school section:

  • Saraswathi, Government Lower Primary School, Maroor, Kundapur
  • Vasundara, Government Higher Primary School, Guddeyangadi, Bommarabettu, Udupi
  • Harish Poojary S, Government Higher Primary School, Padukudoor, Karkala

Dakshina Kannada awardees
The Teachers’ Day programme will be held on September 5 at 10 am at Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Kalabhavana, Santhekatte, Belthangady. Teachers selected from seven taluks of the district will be felicitated.
