Kuwait, Aug 24: Kuwait’s Ministry of Health has reiterated that visitors are not entitled to medical care at government hospitals and clinics, stressing that only registered patients are eligible for treatment. The directive aims to prevent misuse of the system and ensure limited healthcare resources are reserved for genuine cases, particularly during emergencies and outbreaks.
At the same time, the ministry has stepped up efforts to enhance non-medical services within hospitals, focusing on patient comfort, hygiene, and safety. A specialized training course was recently conducted for 30 staff members across multiple hospitals, under the supervision of Assistant Undersecretary for Health Services, Abdulaziz Al-Tasha.
The training covered areas such as hospital hotel services, contract management, and quality control, with emphasis on maintaining high standards in cleaning, laundry, and patient support systems. Officials said these services play a vital role in recovery and patient satisfaction.
Upon completion of the program, participants will be formally honoured by the ministry, highlighting the crucial role of non-medical services in strengthening overall healthcare quality.
