St Aloysius Deemed to be University and FMMC sign MoU to foster interdisciplinary collaboration

Mangaluru, Aug 8: In a significant step toward advancing academic collaboration and interdisciplinary research, St Aloysius Deemed to be University, Mangaluru, and Father Muller Medical College, Mangaluru, have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on August 8.

The MoU was signed by Fr Faustine Lucas Lobo, director of Father Muller Institutions, and Dr (Fr) Kiran Cotha SJ, director of the AIMIT Centre, St Aloysius Deemed to be University. This partnership reflects the shared vision of both institutions to foster innovation, promote collaborative research, and enhance academic engagement across disciplines.

The coordination of the MoU was led by Dr Ramesh Bhat, Head of Research at Father Muller Medical College, and Dr S Ruban, associate professor and dean of the School of Engineering, St Aloysius Deemed to be University. They were ably supported by Roshan Fredrick Dsouza, chair, International and Domestic Relations, St Aloysius Deemed to be University, whose efforts in strengthening institutional partnerships were instrumental in formalizing this agreement.

This MoU aims to facilitate joint initiatives such as collaborative research projects, interdisciplinary workshops, training programmes, and academic exchanges, creating a platform for knowledge sharing and mutual growth.

Both institutions expressed their enthusiasm for the opportunities this collaboration will bring to faculty and students, emphasizing the importance of working together to address contemporary challenges in healthcare, technology, and society at large.
