Mumbai, Aug 12: The Maharashtra government has executed a minor reshuffle in the state bureaucracy, transferring seven Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers to new posts across departments and districts in a move aimed at streamlining governance.

Ashok Karanjkar (IAS:SCS:2009) has been appointed as the new Member Secretary of the Rest of Maharashtra Statutory Development Board in Mumbai. He replaces Sushil Khodwekar (IAS:RR:2011), who has now been assigned the role of Development Commissioner for Unorganised Labour, also based in Mumbai.

Sanjay Kolte (IAS:SCS:2010), who was serving as the Collector of Bhandara, has been named the new Managing Director of the Shivshahi Punarvasan Project in Mumbai — a key housing and rehabilitation body in the state.

Taking over Kolte’s earlier position, Sawan Kumar (IAS:RR:2019), the current CEO of Zilla Parishad, Nandurbar, has been promoted as the new Collector of Bhandara.

Naman Goyal (IAS:RR:2022), who held dual roles as Project Officer of ITDP Bhamragad and Assistant Collector of Attapali Sub Division in Gadchiroli, will now serve as CEO, Zilla Parishad, Nandurbar.

Among junior IAS officers, Dr. GVS Pavandatta (IAS:RR:2023) has been transferred from Assistant Collector, Desaiganj Sub Division, Gadchiroli, to the Igatpuri Sub Division in Nashik.

Meanwhile, Laghima Tiwari (IAS:RR:2023), previously Assistant Collector of Ballarpur Sub Division, Chandrapur, has been reassigned to Gondpimpri Sub Division within the same district.

The reshuffle, though limited in scope, reflects the state's ongoing efforts to optimize administrative efficiency and address governance priorities across various levels.
