Mangaluru, Aug 5: A 33-year-old resident of Inoli Pavoor Kelaginakere, identified as Mohammed Niyaz, has gone missing after informing his family that he was heading to Bengaluru for work. A complaint has been registered in this regard at the Konaje police station.

According to sources, Niyaz, who was employed at S N Cloth Store in Derlakatte, told his mother Hajira on August 2 that he was leaving for a job opportunity in Bengaluru. Carrying a bundle of clothes, he left home that morning.

However, around noon on the same day, he called his wife Shahla and asked her to accompany him to visit his sister’s child who was admitted at Father Muller Hospital in Kankanady. But when she tried calling him later, his phone was found switched off.

The family grew increasingly anxious after failing to trace his whereabouts. Despite inquiring with relatives and visiting known locations, there has been no clue about his disappearance. With no contact from him since that day, the family has now filed a missing person’s complaint with Konaje police, who have launched an investigation.
