Tel Aviv, Jul 31: In a major crackdown on terror activities, Israeli security forces arrested 16 wanted terrorists in a series of overnight operations across Judea and Samaria, officials confirmed on Wednesday.

Among those apprehended were nine individuals accused of pelting stones at Israeli civilians in Judea. The arrests were made in the Umm al-Khair area near Hebron, a region that has seen repeated incidents of unrest in recent months.

According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), a joint operation carried out in coordination with the Shin Bet—Israel’s General Security Service—led to the confiscation of weapons and ammunition in the village of Jaba, located in Samaria.

The Israeli military reaffirmed its commitment to combating terror threats and protecting civilians. The suspects are currently being interrogated, and further investigations are underway.

Tensions in the region continue to run high as Israeli authorities step up security measures in response to recent provocations and threats targeting both civilians and security personnel.
