Arbaaz Khan: Staying rooted in values is key in a globalised world

Mumbai, July 6: Actor-producer Arbaaz Khan believes that no matter how far one goes in life, staying connected to one’s roots and value system is essential to stand out in today’s fast-changing world.

The son of legendary screenwriter Salim Khan, Arbaaz said his family has always placed great importance on values and culture — a principle that continues to earn them respect in the Hindi film industry.

Speaking to IANS, Arbaaz shared, “In a globalised world, it’s extremely important to stick to your roots. Everyone has their own culture, their own flavour — and keeping that essence alive makes you who you are. That’s what makes it beautiful.”

Recently, Arbaaz collaborated with Dubai-based filmmaker Ayesha Zaki on the short film Safe Community Safe World, which brings attention to the safety challenges faced by sanitation workers and stray animals. The film explores the hidden dangers of carelessly discarded sharp objects in public spaces and their devastating impact on those who are most vulnerable.

The project also marked Ayesha Zaki’s directorial and acting debut, as she starred alongside Arbaaz while shaping a poignant, socially driven narrative. The film, written by Rashmi Zafran, reflects the duo’s shared commitment to using cinema as a tool for change.
